This post is going to be quick and self-explanatory.

🙋🏻‍♂️A little Background

My name is Enrique Pöhlmann. From Spain 🇪🇸.
I'm a developer👨🏻‍💻 who likes to try new technologies 💻, code📝 and have a nice cold beer🍺now and then.

🏁My Purpose

I've always liked the idea of sharing the little findings I make, but I never had the motivation to do it until now. There've been so many times where I've been working on some project I was interested in and I thought:

'Why am I doing this just for me? Why am I not uploading this to Github, or posting it on Reddit? Maybe get some feedback so I can improve, maybe helping someone out with the same problem I once had'.

⬆️This is why I just started this new adventure, called Not an Engineer.
I will be posting my insight🔍 on the things I'll be working on and with, giving some tips👍🏻 I learn on the way, doing some relevant How To's 🆘, sharing some personal projects👨🏻‍💻 over here and on Github and some non code related stuff (techie and not techie).

That's my plan for now, maybe I'll have more content to share, I don't know!🤷🏻‍♂️

⚙️Why are you not using Medium, Wordpress, Blogger, Tumblr...?

I wrote a longer post about why I'm using Ghost, Pros and Cons vs Wordpress

If you haven't noticed yet, I'm using Ghost. It's a Node.js(Javascript) open source cms, focused on professional publishing (quoted from their github).
I'll write a more in depth post on why I chose Ghost, but my main three reasons are:

  1. It's new, modern and crazy fast
  2. I like to learn new technologies
  3. I wanted something like Wordpress, but it's too heavy for my purpose

So even thought I have loads of experience with Wordpress (I work a lot with it for clients and freelancing), I ended up with Ghost, and my first reaction is that I'm really impressed with it's enviroment!

Oh, and Medium, Blogger, Tumblr and all the other simillar services don't give me the flexibility I need. This website is not the only thing I have set up in my server😉

So this is pretty much it, I hope you find what I have planned interesting and entertaining. If that's the case, you know, press CTRL+D or CMD+D (save bookmark📘), and check Not an Engineer every now and then.
